Overview: This 16-hour course covers the essential knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to effectively teach and promote the NRA Basic Rifle Shooting course.

Details:

  • Prerequisite: Participants must already have basic firearm safety and shooting skills. Before the course, candidates complete a questionnaire and a pre-course assessment to demonstrate their background and experience.

  • Course Structure: The course is divided into two parts: Basic Instructor Training (BIT) and Rifle Instructor Training. Students will participate in practical exercises to demonstrate their teaching and organizational skills and must pass an instructor certification exam.

  • Materials Provided: Participants will receive the NRA Trainer’s Guide, Rifle Shooting Instructor Candidate Packet, and Basic Rifle Shooting course student packet.
