NRA Range Safety Officer
Eligibility: Participants must be 21 years or older.
Course Overview: This 9-hour classroom-based course prepares you for the role of a Range Safety Officer (RSO). You will learn:
  • Roles and responsibilities of an RSO
  • Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • How to inspect the range and enforce range rules
  • Conducting range briefings and managing emergencies
  • Handling firearm stoppages and malfunctions
Course Materials: Each participant will receive:
  • RSO Student Study Guide
  • Basic Firearm Training Program brochure
  • NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure
  • Instructor Application/Course Evaluation form
Location: All classes are
held at Hirts Defensive Solutions, 24 State Route 20 Spur, Cartersville, GA 30121.
