The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is an 8-hour, instructor-led course designed for all skill levels. This course focuses on safe firearm handling and responsible shooting practices.
Course Highlights:
- Gun Safety Rules: Learn essential safety practices for handling and storing firearms.
- Pistol Operation: Understand the mechanics and use of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols.
- Ammunition Selection: Get guidance on choosing the right ammunition for different shooting activities.

- Marksmanship: Improve your accuracy and shooting skills.
- Range Safety: Learn best practices for maintaining safety on the shooting range.
What to Bring:
- Open mind
- Pistol or revolver (loaners available if needed)
- At least 100 rounds of factory ammunition for your firearm
- Eye and ear protection (available upon request)
- Hat or cap with a brim
- Weather-appropriate clothing (rain or shine)
- Comfortable, sturdy shoes (no open-toe footwear)
- Paper and pencil
- Water
